Sophia Chue
Sophia Chue a black immigrant from the Caribbean has served as an advocate in the non-profit arena for over 30 years.
A self-described multipotentialite, she is a self-published author, Storyteller, Speaker and Event Host. Sophia's passion is to keep our collective community connected while creating legacy.
Ms. Chue is the Office and Business Development Manager for Process Controls & Instrumentation (PCI) LLC, an engineering company in Midtown Detroit. She owns and operates a Professional Consulting firm, L&M LLC dba Sophia L Chue Consulting LLC.
In addition to being a Director with RUUTS (Restoring Unity for Underprivileged Through Services); Sophia serves as the Executive Director of the Caribbean Community Service Center, a current Commissioner for the City of Detroit Entertainment Commission (DEC), chair of the Michigan Black Leadership Advisory Council’s (BLAC) African Diaspora Committee, former Vice-Chair for the Ruth Ellis Center, and former Co- Chair City of Detroit Immigration Taskforce.
An eight-year Veteran of the United States Army Sophia currently resides in Michigan and is the mother of two adult sons
